.Meet the Directors! Sandy Smith & Anne Cacciola
Sandy Smith has her Master’s degree in Early Childhood and is a certified teacher, nursery-6th grade. Sandy has been working with children for over 20 years. She worked as the co-director/owner of a group-family daycare here in Farmingdale for 6 years before opening Peanuts Nursery School in 1997. She was Educational Director of a large daycare center and was a nursery school teacher and Camp Director. She is also the mother of 2 children, Samantha and Dylan.
Anne Cacciola has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology. Anne too has had a lot of experience working with children (over 25 years) prior to opening Peanuts. She was co-director/owner with Sandy in Peanuts Daycare for 6 years. Before that, she had been Assistant Director at a large camp and was a counselor at a camp for emotionally disturbed children. Anne is the mother of 2 children, Franny and Frankie.
In addition to being business partners, Anne and Sandy have been good friends for over 25 years and were roommates in college for 4 years.
